James Douglas Robinson drives in the British Formula TKM Series formally won by Jenson Button and Gary Paffet. After starting indoor karting at the age 10, Robinson quickly developed a passion for motorsport, finishing 4th with one victory in his debut season. A quick transition to Formula TKM in 2004 to SRS Racing saw Robinson complete his debut year for the HKRC club. After leaving karting in 2006 Robinson is now testing in various UK single seater series.

In 2005, Robinson registered Jayaar Racing ltd. The team is currently seeking financial support and plans in competing in the Formula Renault UK championship in 2007.
