Djamel Menad

Djamel Menad (born July 22, 1960 in El Bayadh, Algeria) is a former Algerian footballer of Kabyle descent.

[edit] Club Career
Menad started his playing career with CR Belouizdad, before moving to his native JS Kabylie. In 1987, Menad moved to France, signing with Nimes Olympique. He scored a total of 30 goals in 72 league appearances during his three seasons with the French side, before moving to Portuguese F.C. Famalicão. Menad scored a total of ten league goals in his first and only season with the Portuguese club. Djamel Menad returned to JS Kabylie and spent there two more years, winning the African Cup Winners' Cup in 1995, before retiring the following year.

At the international level, Djamel Menad took part in the 1986 FIFA World Cup in Mexico and was part of Algeria's victorious 1990 African Cup of Nations campaign in his homeland, finishing as the competition's top scorer with four goals.
Djamel Menad finished third in the run for the 1986 African Footballer of the Year award.
