DJ Sammy (born Samuel Bouriah, 19 October 1969, Majorca, Spain) is a dance music DJ. He has had five Top 10 hits. He is most popularly known for his cover of Bryan Adams' "Heaven", the "Heaven (Candlelight Mix)", Rise Again and a cover of Don Henley's The Boys of Summer. His career started with Marie José in the making of his first singles, under the stage name of DJ Sammy feat. Carisma. He is currently married to Marie and they have a daughter together, Saphira Maria (born February 10, 2005).

[edit] Career
DJ Sammy started his music career in 1984 in the dance clubs of Majorca, playing gigs at clubs such as Alexandra, Bananas and Zorba's. During this time he completed training as a sound technician at the Mallorca Music College. He was also a DJ at the Cadena Top radio station. In 1991 he met a singer, Marie José, and they performed at Zorba's Club in Palma. In 1992, DJ Sammy became resident DJ at the Joy Palace Club in Arenal.
In November 1995 DJ Sammy released his first single "Life Is Just A Game" with Marie José. The track became a top 10 hit in the Spanish record chart. Other singles, such as "You're My Angel" and "Prince Of Love", have been popular in the German record charts.
In June 1998, DJ Sammy released his debut album, Life Is Just A Game. The album was received with positive reviews across Europe.
DJ Sammy has founded his own dance music label, Super M Records, as well as the Gamba Music Company.[1]
He is also set to work on the brand new Soraya Arnelas album [2].
