DJ Carl Blaze

DJ Carl Blaze (born Carlos Rivera) was a well-known half dominican and half Chinese DJ on New York City's popular Hip-Hop and R&B radio station Power 105.1 for over three years. He hosted many parties and was a DJ for several clubs throughout New York City. On December 7, 2006 Carl Blaze was the victim of a fatal shooting outside an apartment building near the Inwood section of Manhattan where he was said to have been shot 12 to 16 times. Sources say that a diamond chain was stolen from him at the scene. The chain was said to be worth roughly around $20,000-$25,000. He was taken to Harlem Hospital Center, where he died Saturday, December 23. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
