[edit] Irish town populations

I see you edited the population statistics in the Wicklow town infobox. I have reverted these preliminary statistics as Wikipedia is only using final population numbers from 2002 until the final census is published. The 2006 numbers are, as they state, preliminary, and therefore not encyclopaedic in nature and will only need to be altered again when the final report is issued. Some articles have quoted from the new statistics in the text and these has been regarded as acceptable but not in the infobox. Hope that helps you. BTW, there is no need to wikify words that have already been wikified earlier in an article, so I have removed the redundant wikification on some words like Dublin (twice)that you added. Keep up the good work. Cheers. ww2censor 13:37, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks WW2censor for the inputs. I understand your point, however would suggest that the more accurate figure probably comes from the preliminary 2006 data. Nevertheless, 2002 is a final report, so best stick with that as you suggest. Regarding wiki formating, well, I feel I am figuring out the dos and don'ts at this stage!
