Germany is the only country I know that has a junior system similar to Spain's. The top division, the Junior Bundesliga is three 16-club regional leagues with playoffs after the regular season and has a promotion/relegation. The second level is called the Regionalliga, but the football associations in the south and southwest have regional leagues that are the second level. In Italy, the 42 clubs in the Serie A & B plus a few Serie C1 or C2 clubs junior teams play in the top junior league in four regional leagues with a playoff after the regular season, but there is no true promotion/relegation system. The other C1 & C2 clubs have junior teams play in the Serie D's junior leagues which has sixteen to eighteen leagues with a playoff. In England, the top clubs have a junior league similar to the reserve league play. Clubs play in either the northern league or southern league with no playoff. The Netherlands and Switzerland have junior leagues that mirrors the the top division with no playoff nor promotion/relegation. Raul17 (talk) 21:01, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
