Ditholong Village

Ditholong which mean an African antelope in English. It is not clear when this village was established. But what is known this village is part of Letebejane village.

This village lies along the Flag Boshielo Dam(formerly known as Arabie Dam).

Ditholong is under the chieftancy of Chief Mokgoma Matlala, which is the local king nased at Ga-Rakgoadi, Mohlalaotoane.

Economic movement is very slow in this small village and residents normally move to the more economically vibrant Gauteng cities to seek greener pasture.

The local school which is called Kotoloe High school has produced a few professionals, including civil engineers, software developers, etc.

The villager go to a local bup called LUlu bar lounge for drinks and Ga-kgapola which is situated 5 km away at a place called Mooihoek.

Crime is has been a major problem for local businesses, this include local spaza shops, bottle store.

In festive season the villagers indulge in a local home brew cider called Morula. This drink which has alcohol is made from the fruit of Marulu tree.

The villagers have always struggle with water resource until the Aravie water projects was established a few years ago. Now all the residents have acces to clean running water in their yards.
