is the bibliography really necessary?

I wonder, can we make a category of discography and put everyone's disography in it (such as Kylie Minogue's Discography for a one-point reference?

I agree with you. The bibiography is by nature highly selective and would generally be better in the individual discography articles. Only authorative overviews should be listed here imho. --kingboyk 14:59, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Official release

Is a discography a list of any recorded material or it covers only officialy published/released music on cd's, casettes, vinyl etc? I think its important. Can you count demos that have not been officialy published as belonging to a discography?? Dzole 11:53, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] External Links

Are the external links here really necessary? All of them seem to deal specifically with jazz, and with that precedent we could add many, many more links to discog sites of all genres. Seems best just to wipe them; I may do it in a few days if there are no objections. 208.66.208.150 02:14, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Bibliography

I don't think I understand what the "Bibliography" section is. Are they examples of "discography"? Were they what was used to write the article (doubtful)? What is the criteria for this list? It seems like an arbitrary grouping of books about record labels and record listings. Wickethewok 18:44, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

Seems a list of famous discography books. -- Infrogmation (talk) 19:47, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
