Description

A disused railway bridge over the River Nar in King's Lynn, near the site of the former South Lynn railway station. In this photo, we're facing away from the current main line towards the site of the former station. This bridge closed to passenger trains in 1959 (as did most of the former M&GNJR), although an Ordnance Survey map from 1975 shows that a small section, including this bridge, was in use for freight as late as 1975.
