Districts of Puducherry

The Union Territory of Puducherry has four districts. Out of them, Puducherry is the largest district both in area and population. Mahe is smallest district in terms of area and Yanam is smallest district in terms of population. All the four previous colonies in French India were organised as Union Territory of Puducherry after merging into India.
