This Dirk Boonstra (1920-1944) was not 'a police commander for the village of Grijpskerk in the Netherlands during World War II. It was his actions here in refusing to carry out an order to round up the remaining Dutch Jews in the town with his fellow policemen that he is recognized as Righteous Among the Nations by the Yad Vashem.' The policecommander in question was Dirk Boonstra (St. Annaparochi 24 februari 1893 - Hersbruck 9 september 1944).
