[edit] Summary

This is an animated gif I made in Mathematica.

You are observing the real-time evolution of the electric field of an electric dipole at the origin, oscillating at 1rad/s (~.16 Hz) in the vertical direction. The left-right bounds actually correspond to a spread of 40 meters. The animation runs at common movie frame rate (24 fps).
