Dillinger Four is an influential American punk rock band based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Formed in 1994, the band has released four full length albums including: Midwestern Songs of the Americas (1998) and Versus God (2000), both on Hopeless Records; Situationist Comedy (2002) on Fat Wreck Chords; and This Shit is Genius a collection of songs culled from compilations and EPs. The band also released First Avenue Live, a live album recorded in 2003 and released by LSD Records (a tongue-in-cheek alias of No Idea Records). Dillinger Four also appears on numerous compilation CDs. The band has announced a new album, tentatively titled C I V I L W A R, supposedly to be released sometime in 2008.
Earlier in their career they released several vinyl 7" records, such as More Songs About Girlfriends And Bubblegum (on Mutant Pop Records), The Kids Are All Dead and Higher Aspirations: Tempered And Dismantled. Songs on the latter two records are available as part as the aforementioned collection. Split EPs were also released with Pinhead Gunpowder and The Strike.
Current members are Lane "Monkey Hustle" Pederson (drums), Billy Morissette (guitar, vocals), Erik Funk (guitar, vocals), and Patrick "St. Paddy" Costello (bass, vocals.) Funk co-owns the Triple Rock Social Club, a popular bar and music venue in Minneapolis.
