Dighalia is located at 22.9083° N 89.5333° E . It has 20768 units of house hold and total area 77.16 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Dighalia has a population of 107840. Males constitute are 53% of the population, and females 47%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 56104. Dighalia has an average literacy rate of 39.4% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
