I'm not sure when this page was last updated, but I attended this university from March-July 2004, and the campus in Temuco was still open then. Perhaps the author should do some more investigating.

As it sounds. UDP is not the oldest private university in Chile! If we think private means "not part (or property) of state", then PUC (Potificia Universidad Católica de Chile) is almost a century older! PUC is managed by the church and not by chilean state.

I think 1888 (year since PUC inaguration) is MUCH MORE OLDER tha 1982...

I finally removed the sentence the oldest private university and replaced it with a private university --_N_e_g_r_u_l_i_o 20:27, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
