Diego da Silva Costa (born 7 October 1988 in Lagarto, Sergipe) is a Brazilian football striker. He currently plays for Celta de Vigo on loan from Atlético Madrid.

Diego Costa started his career at Barcelona Esportivo Capela in São Paulo (state).

He was signed by Sporting Braga in 1 February 2006.[1]

After ended his loan to F.C. Penafiel from Sporting Braga in December 2006, Braga sold him to Atlético Madrid. But he was remain with Braga until summer, which he scored a goal in his European debut.
