Diego Rodríguez Fernández (born April 20, 1960 in La Orotava, Tenerife), is a former Spanish footballer who played for the Seville city rivals, Real Betis and Sevilla FC. Diego Rodríguez joined Real Betis in 1982. He appeared in 198 La Liga games over a six season period for Real Betis, scoring 4 goals. In 1988 he moved to Sevilla, a move not appreciated by the Real Betis faithful, where he spent 8 seasons, appearing in 252 La Liga games, scoring 8 goals.
He earned 1 cap for the Spain national football team in 1988.
