Diego De Ascentis (born 31 July 1976 in Como) is an Italian football (soccer) midfielder. Currently plays for Atalanta.

He signed a three years contract with Atalanta in summer 2007.

He have been staying in Turin since 2000 until 2007 except spent 2005/06 season at A.S. Livorno Calcio.

He started his career at Como (1993-96) and moved to A.S. Bari (1996-1999) and A.C. Milan (1999-2000).

At international level, he capped for U-21s and Olympics team (which won the 1997 Mediterranean Games).
