[edit] Year?
The article says it was published in 1849, our template says 1867, and the ancientlibrary.com copy we refer to says 1870. --Delirium 01:16, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] OCR'ed versions
ancientlibrary.com has been down for a few weeks at it appears that the university of michigan text is incomplete, only containing the first ~1000 pages. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 216.211.76.233 (talk) 23:45, 18 March 2007 (UTC).
[edit] reputation
IUs there any documentation for "high reputation"? DGG (talk) 19:15, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- Good question. I can't say I've seen this work cited very much outside the Internet. I also think the reference to "the relatively slow rate of change of classical scholarship" is potentially misleading; classics may move more slowly than physics or medicine, but scholarship published 164 years ago is old by any standard. I've removed both statements, but by all means restore them if a published source can be found. EALacey (talk) 20:35, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
