From the article: "The application itself uses a new GUI theme, a variation on Aqua which is present in System Preferences. The application also behaves in a different manner than expected to other Macintosh applications, where the application is quit when its sole window is closed, rather than remaining resident when all windows are closed." Actually, if memory serves, that theme is called "Unified." Also, many one-window apps, such as System Preferences and Calculator, also quit when their window is closed.
