Dick Florea

Dick Florea was a longtime news peronality with television station WKJG-TV in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He graduated with a degree in communications[citation needed] from Purdue University in the early or mid 1960s.

Florea joined WKJG-TVs news department in 1965. in 1966[1], became the main anchor for the evening newscasts. In 1970, Florea became the news director, and he is considered a pioneer in Fort Wayne Television.

During his career, Florea was the main evening news anchor[2] from 1966 until 1983, along with news director from 1970 to 1987. Mr. Florea carried the title of Director of Public Affairs and hosted the "Editor's Desk" segment on the station's midday News and "Our Town" reports on weekend mornings.
