The Dick Dale Stratocaster is the signature model electric guitar of American guitarist Dick Dale.
[edit] Background
The original was given to him personally by Leo Fender in 1955. Dale's Stratocaster was originally a sunburst color with a white pick-guard and a rosewood fretboard (experimental at the time). The guitar also came with a whammy bar, however Dale broke it off in a performance and decided not to reattach it. The custom can have one as an option.
[edit] The Guitar
It was the first "Custom Artist" guitar made by Fender, being introduced in January 1994.
