Dick Bresciani

Richard L. Bresciani (born ?) is a 1960 graduate of the UMass Amherst journalism program. Currently, Bresciani is the Boston Red Sox Vice President of publications and club historian.
Bresciasni joined the Boston Red Sox organization in 1972 as assistant public relations director. He moved up to Director of PR in 1984 and has been a VP since 1987. Under his guidance the Red Sox instituted a formal retiring of numbers policy in 1984, the annual national Tony Conigliaro Award in 1990 and the Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame in 1995.
