Dibang is a senior journalist for the NDTV news channel in India. He was the Managing Editor of NDTV India, the 24 hour Hindi news channel. He formerly worked for the 24-hour Hindi news channel Aaj Tak. He was the launching face for Aaj Tak when it became a 24 hour channel. Before joining Aaj Tak, Dibang was a correspondent with The Sunday Times of India in New Delhi. Dibang grew up in Arunachal Pradesh in North-east India. He started his career in journalism with the Illustrated Weekly after graduating from University of Delhi.
