[edit] Welcome, but a quick notice
Just a friendly notice - it's considered bad etiquette to remove messages from your talk page (this page), or use your talk page to advertise things - that's what your User page is for, although advertising on that could be considered a bit iffy too. This page, your talk page, is here to serve as a messaging centre for other users to contact you, and it also serves as a reference point for administrators. Thankyou, HawkerTyphoon 11:20, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
- oops sorry, I'm new to all this but I appreciate the advice. I don't want to be considered an opportunist I'd like to do things the correct way. Any suggestions are always appreciated.
-
- No worries! First off, some tiny things that'll help you fit in:
- You can sign your posts by typing ~~~~ - that helps keep who has said what clear
- You can indent things easily as well: An asterix (*) at the start of a line gives you a bullet point, a hash (#) gives you a line for a numbered list, and a colon (:) gives you a blank indent. More colons indent it more! Nice and simple.
- To make something a title, put two equals signs either side of it, ==like this==. Three equals lines will give s sub heading, four an even smaller sub-heading, and so on and so forth.
- Most of the rest you'll pick up through editing, but if you have any further questions, just type {{helpme}} on your talk page, and someone will be along to answer your questions soon enough. Alternatively, feel free to hit my talk page at any time, and I'll help in any way I can. Welcome to Wikipedia :-) HawkerTyphoon 12:08, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] an extra word of advice
Hi. I hope you won't get too discouraged at the speedy deletion of your contribution. Just wanted to make it clear that Wikipedia has no way of verifying that you are indeed the holder of the copyrighted content in question. So if you want an article on Diamond blades you will have to write it more or less from scratch. It's ok to cite the other website as a source but please keep in mind Wikipedia's policies about spam. Thanks. Pascal.Tesson 18:39, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] New version
Hi. I see that you have recreated the article on Diamond blades. Strictly speaking this is not exactly in-line with policy as you probably would have to go through a Wikipedia:Deletion review process and in fact, while I was writing this an admin has already deleted it! In any case, I was writing to tell you this was much better than this morning's version. I actually saved the content temporarily on my user page at User:Pascal.Tesson/Diamond and wikified the first bit to show you how it's done. Just contact the admin responsible for redeletion to guide you through the deletion review process. Good faith editors are always welcome. Cheers. Pascal.Tesson 22:54, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
Just an extra note to make my thoughts perfectly clear. Since one cannot verify that you are indeed the owner of the copyright info on Master Blade, it will be necessary for you to rewrite the whole thing or to provide solid proof that you are who you claim to be. I think the easiest thing to do is to start with a much shorter description of what these things are and slowly let the article evolve over time as you and other knowledgeable editors contribute. Pascal.Tesson 22:57, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
Sure. Actually, feel free to edit the subpage of my user page as a scratchpad if you need to. Then I think if you leave a message on the talk pages of either (aeropagitica) (talk · contribs) or HawkerTyphoon (talk · contribs) explaining the situation and providing the assurances with respect to copyright they'll gladly help you out and guide you through the rest of the way and answer any questions you have on what is and what is not acceptable. I hope you understand the need for Wikipedia to err on the side of caution when it comes to copyright issues. Pascal.Tesson 00:14, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] External links
Hi, correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears that you've added some links to your own website. Wikipedia has a rule against adding links to a site you own or are affiliated with. Your contributions content are welcome, though. Thanks, Wmahan. 05:19, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
