[edit] "...of several French kings..."

Surely just one - Henry II?

What was Diane's mothers name?

[edit] favorite rather than mistress

Diane de Poitiers'relationship with Henri II is somewhat different from the average royal mistress. Much older than the king, she acted as a "governess" to him when he came back from captivity at the age of 11 or 12. 218.166.85.241 14:29, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Whose description?

Who was responsible for describing Diane de Poitiers as "the most beautiful of the intelligent ladies; the most intelligent of the beautiful ladies"?
