Diane Langton

Diane Langton, (born May 31, 1947) in Somerset, is an English actress.

She has appeared in numerous TV shows like Only Fools and Horses, where she played Junie, an old girlfriend of Del Boy's in the 1980s. She appeared in episodes "Happy Returns", when Rodney Trotter really liked a girl called Debbie who worked in the corner shop. It turned out that Del Boy and Junie went out together in the 1960s, and Debbie was conceived around the time they broke up in 1965 or so. In this episode she also had a son called Jason, played by Ben Davis.

Diane was also in "A Royal Flush". This episode was the one where Rodders met a girl called Victoria who happened to be the daughter of the Duke of Maylebury. Junie appeared when they went to the theatre and Del Boy invited himself and Junie along. They embarrassed Rodney by continually being noisy and then Junie ate too much and threw up, so they all had to leave. This is the episode where Rodders also does a bit of shooting and Del Boy turns up and embarrasses him.

Diane has also appeared in The Rag Trade as Kathy Roberts, EastEnders as Cindy Beale's mother Bev Williams, Ruby Rowan, Nick Rowan's (Nick Berry) mother in Heartbeat. She appeared as a prostitute in a second series episode of Joking Apart.

Other notable TV appearances have been in Alas Smith and Jones, Bergerac, Minder, Carry On Laughing, How To Be A Little Sod and The Bill amongst others. She has also had her own TV show, a special called Let There Be Langton.

She played Private Alice Easy in Carry On England in 1976 and has appeared on radio as well. She recently played the bird woman in Mary Poppins the Musical in London. She has also appeared on stage as Mama Morton in the hit musiscal Chicago

She has recently joined the cast of Hollyoaks as Nana McQueen, mother of Myra McQueen and grandmother of Jackie, Mercedes, Tina, Carmel, John Paul & Michaela
