Dhoon Quarry is a stopping place on the Manx Electric Railway although services rarely stop at this location; it once was the site of extensive sidings which were laid in connection with the nearby quarry and the site today is significantly smaller than what was once there. In 1993 Isle of Man Railway locomotive No. 4 "Loch" travelled between Laxey station and this point to mark the centenary of the line, during which another steam locomotive had been hired by the contractors during construction, and there is still evidence of the running round and watering facilities here today.
