Dhapodkar is aristocratic family name from the state of Maharastra, meaning the great state. There is 'Dhapewada'town near City of Nagpur in Maharashtra. This community has its origine from this place. Thats why the people from Dhapewada called Dhapodkar. They were traditionally in cloth and farming business. Now they are all migrated to different places of the country and globe.
