Dhangri is a small village situated near Chakswari in the Mirpur District of Azad Kashmir. The closest airport is ISB - Islamabad Chaklala, located 87.7 km north of Dhangri.[1] It is just further from the village of Brutiyan and about 15-20 minutes away from Dudial. Dhangri has a relatively small population with most of the inhabitants doing manual labor on very low pay. However, some of the inhabitants of Dhangri moved to England or other European countries in the sixties, where they have settled with growing families.
[edit] Dhangri Masjid
Dhangri has a large mosque that is visited by people from all over Pakistan. The mosque is still being developed and made larger as more and more funds are becoming available due to people donating money. The family that runs the mosque also has a mosque in Bradford. Pirzada Habib-Ur-Rahman and his brother Atique-Ur-Rahman are the two brothers who reside in the mosque with their families. However, they do have tensions between them. The mosque has many students who are taught the Qur'an by heart and Islam in a high level of detail. The Mosque also has the shrine of Habib-Ur-Rahman's father which is open for any Muslim to come and pray.

These Rajput are well known throughout the many villages surrounding Dhangri and even as far as Jhelum. They are said to be very strong and large men with commanding presence.
