Dhalla Mahamatra (215 BC-152 BC) was a follower of Buddhism and he adopted the Hinayana sect. He preached at Nalanda university in Sanskrit and he is famous for his poem "Matulchandra". He used to bathe every day in the holy river Ganga and also followed Bhakti (one can reach god by personal devotion). He died in 152 BC because of a deadly incurable disease.

Dhalla Mahamatra married Jahmila Durabi at the age of 16. Jahmila Durabi was an ambitious Buddhist.They had two children, Mahendrasimhavarman and Kolamalai.

Mahendrasimhavarman went on to become a scholar at Nalanda university whereas Kolamalai performed the Ashwamedha Yajna(Sacrifice of the horse) on behalf of the king.

It is said that Dhalla Mahamatra had psychic powers and predicted the Humans will become extinct in AD 4027, due to the interference of extraterrestrials. He wrote his predictions in a simple and straightforward fashion, which is why he gained more respect than Nostrodamus by those who read his predictions. He also warned that the ruling superpower in the 22nd Century would be Corrupt and cause havoc in regions around France and Spain. He also wrote of a huge volcanic eruption that would occur in USA in the year AD 2046. He also wrote of great wars which would take place during 1939-1944 (World War II) and 2045-2092. Dhalla Mahamatra also said that a deadly weapon would be invented in 2043 that could wipe out an entire planet. Scientists say that this weapon could be an antimatter bomb, after reading its description. He also successfully predicted the 9/11 disaster.
