Dhaka is a kind of cloth-material that is especially popular in Nepal for producing hats. This is used to make the popularly known 'Dhaka topi' or 'Nepali topi' and also a special kind of blouse - Dhaka-ko- cholo. The word 'topi' translates to 'hat' in English. Ganesh Man Maharjan was first person who first made the Nepali topi in the town of Palpa. This kind of 'topi' is a part of Nepali National dress. A similar style of cap has been found to be worn by Afgani people, especially the president Hamid Karzai and also by people in Indonesia.
