From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dewarick Spencer (born 5 May 1982 in Mobile County, Alabama, USA) is professional basketball player from United States who plays for Efes Pilsen in Turkey.[1][2] He plays as point guard and shooting guard and 1.93 m. He transferred from Virtus Bologna after Efes Pilsen S.K. released Drew Nicholas. In February 2008 Drew Nicholas refused to travel with Efes Pilsen for the away match against Partizan in Belgrade, due to an advice for US citizens not to visit Serbia due to the tension after the declaration of independence of Kosovo. The player Drew Nicholas was banned from the club and shortly after was released. Spencer made a name for himself after winning the French Basketball Championship in June of 2007 and after winning the French Scoring Title, the French MVP, the French Pro A Guard of the Year, and the French All-Star MVP all in one season with Chorale Roanne Basket.
