OK, I think it's fixed now, take a look at this link to see the changes (it's often easier to show than explain) - [1]. Basically, I enclosed the external links in <ref>ref tags like this</ref>, which make them show in the "references" section at the bottom of the article. I also fixed one tag which was closed improperly (it was <ref/> instead of </ref> at the end of a reference, which broke the "cite journal" template and messed up the text). I hope this makes sense - and thank you for adding references, it's good to see someone new working on the subject.
