- Divehi Wikipedia. .(Iyaaz 11:55, 23 January 2006 (UTC))
Hi, Iyaaz

[edit] Logo text for Dhivehi wiki
I think "minivan ekumaafaanu" is not the most appropriate translation. As far as I believe the best would be "aanmu ekumaafaanu"

[edit] Divehi Wikipedia
An article you started, Divehi Wikipedia, has been proposed for deletion. An editor considers the article a self-reference. I'm not so sure about that claim, however, I'm not sure we need separate one-line articles for the various language versions of Wikipedia. If you think the article ought to be kept, you might want to explain your reasoning on the talk page and remove the prod notice. If no one objects to the deletion within five days by removing the prod notice, the article may be deleted without further discussion. NickelShoe 04:18, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
- I put this article on AFD and thought I would give you a heads up. Please share your thoughts in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Divehi Wikipedia. —EdGl 21:22, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Evolution of the Judiciary in the Maldives
Hello Deviathan,
I came across the article, Evolution of the Judiciary in the Maldives, created by you. Since there are issues that should be addressed, I have inserted cleanup tag and rationale on the talk page. Please check that and improve the article as you appear to have extensive knowledge about the subject. Thanks. --Oblivious 05:35, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the explanation about my query on your dv talk page and the response to the notification above. The work you are doing on dv is quite impressive I must say and there are things that could be done to further improve it. I'll be really busy for the next two months and I dont think I have time to allocate for any major work on dv. I sure will give you a ring when I am free. Mean while email me or leave a message on my talk page if you need any help. I'll be happy to help. Thanks! --Oblivious 00:27, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Grantha.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Grantha.gif. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. thunderboltz(Deepu) 11:01, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Hulhumee.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Hulhumee.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Latin transliteration of the Maldivian language
To Deviathan. Please explain rationale for removing referenced paragraphs referring to Latin transliteration in Dhivehi language. The temporary adoption of Latin script during the 1970's ignoring previous lingustic research made by HCP Bell and Wilhelm Geiger was an important event in the history of the Maldivian language. Erasing referenced text without justification looks like vandalism to me.116.68.66.97 12:21, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Mahal subpages
Hey, I noticed that you had made a lot of the subpages that I redirected to Mahal language. It's nothing personal and if there was any information loss then I apologize. I would like to direct your attention to the consonant chart for Mahal, though. I was going to convert it to IPA but I couldn't figure what some of the letters represented. For instance, you put <r> in the lateral row, and <y> in the velar column. If you could clarify these it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Ƶ§œš¹ [aɪm ˈfɻɛ̃ⁿdˡi] 22:40, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Maldives Scouting
Can you help render "Be Prepared", the Scout Motto, into Divehi? Thanks! Chris 04:44, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
Dhivehi phrase for "be prepared" is "thayyaaruve thibey" Deviathan 12:45, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Unspecified source for Image:SAFF.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:SAFF.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 07:02, 4 June 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? OsamaK 07:02, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:SAFF.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:SAFF.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:15, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
