[edit] Welcome

Welcome to Wikipedia. To find out how to make useful contributions, take a look at the welcome page. To stay in Wikipedia, an article has to be about something notable, that is, of general interest. Click on Notability for an explanation of what that means, and on Notability (people) for more detail. Also, it must give independently verifiable sources. Articles that don't meet these requirements are likely to be deleted. Follow the links below to learn more:

[edit] Don't remove speedy-deletion tags

You are entitled to challenge the speedy deletion; if you want to do that, put {{hangon}} on the page immediately under the {{db}} tag, and put your reasons on the article's talk page. The administrators will read what you say before they decide. But you should not remove the speedy deletion tag. JohnCD (talk) 22:14, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

If you read the guidelines on Notability (people) and Autobiography, you will understand why your page Devendran Devaraj gets deleted. You can put that sort of information on your user page if you like, but articles need to be about something notable - Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a social networking site. Read the Introduction and the guide to creating Your first article if you would like to know more. JohnCD (talk) 22:20, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
