[edit] RE: editing

As far as the empty subheadings on Model theory go, you are totally free to add any relevant information you happen to know. Any necessary changes will eventually be enacted as people read the article. I myself have augmented certain articles with content for others. As long as it's work that's original to Wikipedia, it's all good.

And on Elementary substructure, there's really no problem with rephrasing somebody else's work for clarity; moves to make an article easier to understand like that are always appreciated. Certain math notations may be different, but I am not well-versed in those subjects. --Merovingian (T, C, E) 19:28, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] More about Wikipedia

Hi, good to hear from you again; I'm glad you're having a good experience! I myself have not been to Wikimania (I doubt they'd come to my town anytime soon), but I hear it's a pretty enjoyable get-together.

There are not currently any paid Wikimedia Foundation jobs that I know of; I believe the employees are volunteers. IIRC, the co-founder Larry Sanger used to get paid for editing, but that was quite a long time ago.

You can read about the servers here. --Merovingian (T, C, E) 20:45, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Page got reverted

Actually, I would say that your decision to back off was probably the best option, as opposed to escalating the problem, which we all fall victim to at some time or another. Have you talked to the other user about the matter? You could bring up your concerns either at his/her user talk page or the article talk page. I think it's just important to let him/her know that there are no hard feelings. --Merovingian (T, C, E) 08:37, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

Well I'm very glad you were able to turn this situation into a learning experience.  :) --Merovingian (T, C, E) 08:12, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Translation

Yep, it's perfectly fine to translate material from other-language Wikipedias, as all their texts are under the same license. You may also want to check out the main translation page for related info. Best of luck! --Merovingian (T, C, E) 11:09, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Yangqin

Hi! I see you added the "standard repertory" to the Yangqin article. I just published some live recordings of Yangqin performances under http://freaknet.org/martin/audio/China/ but I do not know what the pieces are. From the context (contract entertainment in a Chinese hotel foyer) it is likely they are from the SR - can you help indentify them, or did the list simply come from elsewhere on the net?
