"Desmosomes are molecular complexes of cell adhesion proteins and linking proteins that attach the cell surface adhesion proteins to intracellular keratin cytoskeletal filaments." I disagree. I think that 'intracellular filaments' would a more accurate and inclusive end to this sentence.
