Desert Speedtrap Starring Road Runner & Wile E. Coyote was released in 1994 for the Sega Master System console and Game Gear color handheld system.
[edit] Gameplay
The Road Runner must outwit the Coyote, while maintaining his strength by eating birdseed. While the premise is not unlike that of some other popular games for Game Gear and Mega Drive/Genesis, this platform game suffered in popularity due to difficulties encountered in controlling the Road Runner.
[edit] Graphics
The desert graphics are well-suited to the Game Gear screen and reasonably faithful to the Looney Tunes series upon which it is based. The sound effects include the expected "beep beep" and pecking noises of the Road Runner.
[edit] On Other Systems
Desert Speedtrap was also released for the Sega Master System console.
The games are about alike, other than color palette and size adjustments.
