Desaiganj is a city and a municipal council in the Gadchiroli district of the state of Maharashtra, India.

As of the 2001 Indian census[1], Desaiganj had a population of 24,786. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Desaiganj has an average literacy rate of 69%, higher than the national average of 59.5%. Male literacy is 77%; female literacy is 62%. In Desaiganj, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age. The famous Khanani family traces its origins to this village.
Mainly it is inhabited by all qualities of people. It has Memon and Muslim,hindu,sindhi,bauddh,gond & govari samaz who mainly runs business.
Desaiganj is blessed with beautiful review called "Vainganga nadi" which is helping farmers is growing water melon and their crops.

This is a typical Indian village which mainly relies on farming. The crops produced here are wheat and different lentils,cotton,sunflower,groundnut,orrange,soyabeans etc. There are many small scale industries cropping up. This region is known for rice mills,saw mills & paper mill The rice produced is exported to various parts of the country including Gujarat, Tamil Nadu et al as well as exported to neighbouring countries like Nepal.
