Derenburg is a town in the district of Harz, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is situated north of the Harz, approx. 9 km east of Wernigerode, and 10 km west of Halberstadt. It is part of the Verwaltungsgemeinschaft ("collective municipality") Nordharz.
