Derek Stark (born November 19, 1958 in Dunfermline) is a Scottish former footballer who played as a defender. Stark spent his whole career with Dundee United before retiring in 1984 due to injury. Stark, who played part-time for most of his time, considered quitting football in 1982 to join the police but remained at Tannadice to go full-time.[1]
