[edit] Re: My edit

Keigo Japanese is used as a matter of course in ALL Japanese business and work environments. NOT using keigo would be noteworthy; using is it not. re: Elevator girls: Describing their duties is superfluous. We all know what elevator porters are employed to do. And besides, I've been in a lot of departo elevators, and I've never once had my buttons pressed. So to speak.
