[edit] Organization

The DUG services over 70 gardens in the Denver area.[1][2] Many community gardens existed before and were created after DUG was organized. DUG operates as an umbrella group supporting a wide variety of these community garden activities. The organization was initially created in 1985, and became more organized in the early 90's. Currently, the DUG project operates with money and programs that originate both with the city of Denver and due to grant writing.

[edit] Social functions

DUG offers free plant seeds,[3] free classes[4] and other events that can be found on the calendar of their website.[5]
