Dennis Shockley

Dennis Shockley (1947- ) is an academician and author with a lengthy career in public service. He is a 1970 graduate of Louisiana Tech University and received his Ph.D. in history from Kansas State University. He has taught at several colleges and universities in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri. He has many publications including the book [How We Lived: A Pictorial History of the Places Oklahomans Have Called Home] [1](2008). In 1999 Shockley completed the Program for Senior Executives in State and Local Government at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Shockley currently serves as executive director of the Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency. He is on the Board of Directors of the National Council of State Housing Agencies,.
