Dennis J. Hutchinson

Dennis J. Hutchinson (born 1946) is a professor of law at the University of Chicago and editor of the Law School's Supreme Court Review. He graduated summa cum laude from Bowdoin College (1969), and holds law degrees from the University of Texas (1974) and a master's degrees from Oxford University (1977), where he was a Rhodes Scholar. Hutchinson was a law clerk to Justice William O. Douglas and Justice Byron White of the US Supreme Court. His biography of Justice Byron White was a New York Times Notable Book for 1998. He was once married to Diane Pamela Wood, a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
