Dennis Harvey, (born 1951) has been a Labour member of the Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council in England since its inception in 1974. This makes him the longest serving Councillor and the only original member remaining on the Council. Until recently he was also Leader of the Council, until the local elections in 2008 where the Conservatives gained control, ending 34 years of Labour rule.

Harvey was a teacher at Higham Lane School in Nuneaton for some time.

Harvey became a councillor before the combining of Nuneaton and Bedworth into one council. He became leader of the Nuneaton and Bedworth council in 1986, and held this position for 22 years, until the 2008 local elections, where the Conservatives gained the council from Labour. Harvey is now leader of the opposition. He represents the Nuneaton ward of Camp hill and also lives there.

Harvey is employed on a part-time basis as the Administrative Manager of Life Education (Heart of England) Ltd.
