Denis O'Dea

Denis O'Dea (April 26, 1905, Dublin, Ireland - November 5, 1978, Dublin) was an Irish stage and film actor.
He was a leading member of Dublin's Abbey Theatre, where his work led to a number of film roles including the Young Covey in John Ford's The Plough and the Stars (1936) and the Police Inspector in pursuit of James Mason's Johnny McQueen in Carol Reed's Odd Man Out (1947). Among his 20 other films were The Fallen Idol (1948, again for Reed, and again as a police officer), Alfred Hitchcock's Under Capricorn (1949), Disney's Treasure Island (1950), Mogambo (1953), Niagara, (1953) and The Rising of the Moon (1957).
He was married to actress Siobhán McKenna from 1956 until his death.
