Denby is a village in the English county of Derbyshire that is notable as the birthplace of John Flamsteed, England's first Royal Astronomer, the home of The Bear, and the location of the Denby Pottery Company.
There is a memorial garden for John Flamsteed; opposite St Mary's church, which features the stellasphere which shows the position of the stars and planets above your head at the current time.
Denby is three miles south-east from Belper and eight miles north of Derby.
