Please remember these guidelines when editing a film article:
- If a non-film article already exists with the name of the film that you are trying to create an article for, disambiguate and use (film) in the title: Film Title (film)
- When writing an article about a particular film, the general format should be a concise lead section, followed by a plot summary of no more than 900 words, production details, a cast list, a reception section, and references.
- Create an Infobox that tells all pertinent information about the film.

[edit] Tom Petty lyric
The article about the song " American Girl" by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers claims that the song's opening line, "She was an American girl, raised on promises", comes from Dementia 13. Do you know if this is correct? Can you provide a citation? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 165.123.89.65 (talk) 16:05, August 20, 2007 (UTC)
- Someone tried to insert that particular tidbit into the Dementia 13 article some months ago. At that time, I did a cursory Google search and came up with nothing. I subsequently deleted the claim from the article. Based on your comment, I just did another search with equally negative results. It appears this is strictly bogus, so I removed it from the American Girl article. If somebody can find a reliable source backing up the claim, the info should be reinstated.-Hal Raglan 03:10, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
